Cage-Free Dog Boarding
in Salt Lake City
Dog boarding in Salt Lake City shouldn't mean a kennel run and minimal human contact. At Wilder, your dog stays in our home on the East Bench — a real house, a real yard, real trail access, and an actual person who knows your dog's name and quirks. Insured, bonded, and vet-recommended.

Daily check-ins via your preferred channel. Trail data including distance and route if applicable.

Process
How dog boarding works
Free meet-and-greet
We come to your home, meet your dog, review their routine, and answer your questions. No commitment required.
Book and confirm
Once you're ready, book via the portal. We confirm the dates, arrange drop-off, and review any special instructions.
Your dog stays with us
Daily trail activity, consistent feeding, and regular updates. Your dog is treated like a house guest — not a boarding unit.
Pick-up and debrief
We'll tell you exactly how the stay went: what they ate, how far they ran, any observations, and how they adapted.
Pricing
Dog boarding rates in Salt Lake City
Our dog boarding in Salt Lake City is priced per night based on your dog's size and any additional services — trail runs, medication, or extended stays. We don't charge extra for peak weekends, and we don't have surprise fees. What we quote is what you pay.
Holiday dog boarding rates apply for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other major holidays due to high demand. We recommend booking 3–4 weeks out for holiday stays.
Why choose us
In-home dog boarding vs. a kennel in Salt Lake City
No cage, no kennel run
Commercial kennels in Salt Lake City house dogs in runs or cages for most of the day. Our dogs have full access to a real home — the couch, the yard, the routine.
Consistent 1:1 attention
A busy kennel might have one staff member per 15 dogs. We cap boarding at a small number of dogs total, so your dog is never lost in the noise.
Real daily exercise
Most Salt Lake City kennels offer a group yard play session. We take dogs on actual trail runs and hikes — Millcreek Canyon is 5 minutes from our door.
Lower stress environment
The constant noise of a large boarding facility is documented as a stressor for dogs. A quiet residential home on the East Bench is a fundamentally different experience.
vs. Rover or Wag sitters
We aren't occasional pet-sitters doing this on weekends. This is our profession — with insurance, certifications, and relationships built over years, not gig shifts.
Transparent pricing
No last-minute add-ons, no facility fees, no mandatory "eval" charges. We quote a rate, you pay that rate.
